Hi, I’m Elyse. (Pronounced A-lease)

And I am a beauty industry lifer.

My love affair with beauty started in my mom’s makeup drawer.

She used to sell Avon and I was her number one customer. I’d sneak the fuchsia lipsticks with blue pearl and turn my face into a canvas.

School wasn’t always a place where I felt confident.

I was bullied, and those moments at the mirror gave me somewhere to play, experiment, and see myself differently.

By seven, I had a plan: I was going to work for Estée Lauder.

I grew up and did exactly that.

For more than 15 years, I built beauty brands and developed thousands of products.

My work won Allure Best of Beauty awards, took me to nearly 40 countries, and included developing products with founders from Shark Tank.

I had the career my seven-year-old self dreamed of.

And in 2018 at the top of my career, life served me up a curve ball. 

I was on a business trip in Milan working on our latest eye shadow palette launch and got a call that changed my life. 

I learned my dad had cancer.

I came home and walked away from the career I’d worked so hard to build and began a professional chapter that gave me the freedom to be my parents’ primary caretaker.

That was when a deeper mission emerged. 

I had spent my career creating products that helped women feel confident.

Through my own personal development journey, I discovered a kind of confidence that stayed with me after the makeup came off.

I began to understand something I couldn’t put back in the box: the confidence I was looking for had to be built from the inside out. 

I wanted to help other women find it, too.

So I pivoted from product development to people development.

2019: I built a business around the schedule freedom my family needed and began helping women build confidence from the inside out. BossBabe recognized me as a 2019 success story.

2020: My one-on-one coaching practice sold out. I also took the stage with Natalie Ellis at Sarah Pendrick’s Girl Talk Festival for my first women’s empowerment speaking event. I knew I wanted to do more of that.

2021: I was named one of LA’s top mindset coaches and expanded my speaking work into signature keynotes and workshops.

2022: I took a professional pause to welcome my son into the world.

2023: I came back with a lot to say and launched The Confidence Lounge Podcast on January 1st.

2024: I grew my podcast and launched Faces Behind Beauty, a series that gave the people building this industry a place to tell their stories. Today, The Confidence Lounge has more than 250 episodes, has been heard in over 40 countries, and ranks in the global top 2%.

2025: I brought everything I’d learned back to the industry I love and founded Beauty Career Lab.

I knew what it felt like to white-knuckle your way up the beauty ladder and wish you had someone to talk to about the hard parts.

So I built the community, career support, and honest conversations I needed back then.

In less than a year, Beauty Career Lab supported more than 1,000 women.

2026: Today, I bring that mission to stages, companies, brand partnerships, and rooms full of women ready to think bigger and make bolder moves.

Giving back to the industry that gave me my first dream has become a dream on a whole different level.

And now in my second career chapter, I’m here to:

1. Make beauty a better place to work from the inside out.

2. Make sure no woman has to navigate her career alone.

3. Show businesses what changes when their people know that confidence is a competitive advantage.

• I’m a mama to a wild toddler boy & an 85-pound golden retriever and Happy, a tuxedo dog who wears a bow tie.
• Currently obsessed with glamping. We just bought our dream motorhome, and you can usually find us parked by the beach in LA. 
• I grew up in the Southern California desert racing dirt bikes and building cars. One of my cars was fully sponsored, featured in magazines, and won shows across California.
